Beyonce a doborât aseară recordul deţinut timp de 20 de ani de regretatului dirijor Georg Solti. Beyonce a plecat acasă cu premiile pentru 4 categorii, cele mai importante fiind trofeul pentru "cel mai bun album dance/electronic" şi cel pentru "cel mai bun cântec R&B". 

Nominalizat la 6 categorii, Harry Styles este al doilea mare câştigător al galei. Britanicul a plecat acasă cu cel mai dorit premiu: "Albumul anului", dar şi cu premiul grammy pentru cel mai bun album pop. 

Harry Styles, artist: Cred că sunt copleșit în acest moment. Cu siguranță nu mă așteptam să primesc acest premiu. Cred că a fi nominalizat pentru lucruri de genul acesta se simte ca și cum ai fi câștigător deja. Este incredibil de frumos să primești premiul.

O surpriză pentru spectatorii galei a fost participarea primei doamne a Statelor Unite. Jill Biden i-a înmânat premiul Grammy cântăreţei americane Bonnie Raitt, cea care a plecat acasă cu trofeul pentru melodia anului.

Printre laureaţii evenimentului s-au mai numărat Ozzy Osbourne, cu cel mai bun album rock, Kendrick Lamar, care a primit trofeul pentru cel mai bun rap, şi Adele. Cântăreaţa a avut cea mai bună interpretare pop, cu piesa "Easy on me". 

Se pare însă că nu toţi cei prezenţi au fost atât de emoţionaţi. Ben Affleck a devenit viral, după ce a fost filmat stând ca o stană de piatră, în timp ce soţia sa, Jennifer Lopez, se bucura de momentul pus în scenă de colegii săi de breaslă.
